Job summary
OXY, Inc. seeks an experienced Cloud Architect in Houston to design and govern enterprise cloud solutions across AWS and Azure, focusing on Kubernetes, IaC, and scalable platforms.
You will define platform standards, build reusable IaC modules with Terraform, and collaborate with SRE teams to improve reliability and cost efficiency. This role emphasizes security, governance, and automation, delivering self-service capabilities to application teams and ensuring high availability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, platform engineering, or DevOps.
- Deep expertise in AWS and Azure services.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud networking.
Responsibilities
- Design and architect enterprise cloud solutions across AWS and Azure.
- Define cloud platform standards, reference architectures, and engineering best practices.
- Develop Terraform IaC modules and self-service platform capabilities.
- Establish onboarding, deployment, and lifecycle management standards.
- Drive automation, monitoring, and incident response with SRE collaboration.
- Support security, governance, and FinOps for cloud platforms.
