Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Architect to lead design, modernization, and automation of a large-scale cloud platform. You will define cloud architecture, improve reliability, automate infrastructure, and drive DevOps practices across engineering teams.

The ideal candidate combines deep cloud architecture expertise with software engineering skills and has experience building scalable, secure platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable cloud infrastructure architectures.
• Build and maintain highly available, multi-region cloud platforms.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Design, deploy, and optimize Kubernetes-based production environments.
• Create automation solutions to eliminate manual operational tasks.
• Develop production-quality tools and automation using Python, Go, or Bash.
• Improve platform reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Design disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
• Build observability and monitoring solutions using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define cloud standards and best practices.
• Produce architecture documentation and ADRs.
• Drive cloud security, governance, and compliance initiatives.
• Mentor engineering teams on DevOps and cloud engineering best practices.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Architect to lead the design, modernization, and automation of a large-scale cloud platform supporting enterprise products and millions of users worldwide. This is a highly technical, hands-on role where you'll define cloud architecture, improve platform reliability, automate infrastructure, and drive DevOps best practices across engineering teams.

The ideal candidate combines deep cloud architecture expertise with strong software engineering skills and has experience building scalable, secure, highly available cloud platforms.

• Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure architectures.
• Build and maintain highly available, multi-region cloud platforms.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Design, deploy, and optimize Kubernetes-based production environments.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
• Strong experience with public cloud platforms (GCP and/or AWS).
• Deep expertise with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Advanced Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience.
• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Experience designing highly available, fault-tolerant cloud architectures.
• Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, Go, and/or Bash.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of networking, cloud security, and identity management.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and technical leadership abilities.
