Job summary

Megazone US seeks a motivated co-op Cloud Operations Engineer to support real ticket workloads under a mentor. You will handle access requests, monitoring changes, inventory tasks and end-to-end ticket ownership, gaining hands-on cloud experience across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

You will participate in health checks, patch windows, and backup verification with a dedicated engineer, while learning to build cost reports and automation.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Computing & Information Technologies, Information Sciences, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Networking & Systems Administration, Software Engineering, MIS or similar; at least one year of study completed.
• Comfortable at a command line and willing to learn Linux; clear written English; dependable and detail-oriented—following procedures and recording actions matters.
• AWS/Azure/Google Cloud exposure is a plus; certification such as AWS Practitioner is helpful.
• Familiar with scripting (Python/Bash/PowerShell) and basic cloud concepts.
• Willingness to engage with colleagues across countries and to learn through a mentor.

Responsibilities

• Work a real ticket queue alongside a mentor engineer — access requests, monitoring changes, inventory and tagging clean-up — owned end to end.
• Run scheduled health checks, patching windows and backup verification with an engineer.
• Pull cloud cost and usage reports and flag waste; help build the savings case.
• Write and improve runbooks and knowledge-base articles the whole team uses.
• Build one automation — a script or dashboard — that removes a recurring manual task.
• Second-block co-ops go further: incident response, migration support, and Terraform contributions under review.
