What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Cloud Operations, you will lead a local team of engineers within our global operations function. Your team will maintain and optimize our SaaS environments deployed on AWS, managing Windows/Active Directory infrastructure, SQL databases, IIS web servers, Kubernetes clusters, and components including Linux, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch. You'll ensure reliable service delivery through infrastructure as code practices while serving as a technical escalation point.

Location: This position will be based in our Pittsburgh office. The candidate is required to attend the office a minimum of 3 days per week but may voluntarily elect to work either remotely or from the Pittsburgh office for the remaining days of the week.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of cloud operations engineers, creating growth pathways aligned with both individual and organizational goals
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements, technology roadmaps, and resolve business-critical issues
• Oversee infrastructure maintenance including server patching, firmware upgrades, configuration management, and backup operations
• Implement capacity planning and performance optimization across all cloud resources
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and service records
• Drive security-by-design principles throughout all infrastructure implementations
• Provide expert technical escalation for complex systems issues
• Establish and enforce backup standards for cloud technologies
• Ensure robust monitoring and observability across all technology solutions

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Proven experience managing teams within a global technology function
• Strong security-focused approach to infrastructure design and management
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with cloud security tools, WAFs, and monitoring systems
• Track record of successful infrastructure project delivery
• Hands-on AWS expertise (EC2, S3, Route 53, VPC, Security Groups, IAM, CloudFormation, Load Balancers)
• Proficiency with PowerShell, Python, and Bash scripting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code methodologies
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and relevant tools
• Proven ability to build and manage strategic vendor relationships
