Job summary

Amazon AWS Networking is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design, build, and operate services that automate operations at scale from Seattle. You will collaborate with software, network, and operations teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that reduce operational burden while keeping customer focus.

The ideal candidate is autonomous, detail-oriented, and communicates clearly. You’ll contribute across the SDLC, review code, and own features from design through deployment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Drive designs for components and services that deliver new features and capabilities.
• Prepare estimates for upcoming deliverables and document proposed solutions.
• Review code of other team members and write well-structured, optimized code.
• Perform root cause analysis on operational events and provide updates to leadership.
