Job summary

AV is seeking a mid to senior Infrastructure & Systems Engineer in Albuquerque, NM. This role focuses on hands-on technical problem solving beyond a traditional help desk, spanning Windows, Linux, macOS and cloud-based infrastructure to improve reliability and efficiency.

You will build automation, manage containers, configure networking, and collaborate with engineering teams using Bash/PowerShell, Docker, and cloud services. This role demands a proactive, scalable approach to operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in IT/CS/Engineering.
• Experience supporting Windows and Linux environments.
• Strong troubleshooting across systems, networking, cloud, authentication, and apps.
• Hands-on networking: DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs, subnets.
• Experience with Docker and containerized development environments.
• Bash and/or PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, software and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows, Linux, and macOS environments, including provisioning and automation.
• Manage user access and security across local and cloud infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot networking, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and connectivity.
• Support engineering with infrastructure and containerized environments (Docker).
• Administer AWS/Azure cloud environments and write Bash/PowerShell scripts.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement scalable improvements.
