Job description

Reporting to the Department of College and Career Readiness (CCR), the Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE) Coordinator serves as the primary instructor, architect, and program manager of the ECLIPSE program at the College of Southern Idaho. This Inclusive Postsecondary Education (IPSE) program is a two-year, cohort-based model designed to prepare students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) for competitive integrated employment and community integration.

During the initial building year, the coordinator will focus on program development, curriculum design, interagency coordination, and assisting the Student Accessibility Services Coordinator in supporting CSI students who may benefit from ECLIPSE services. In Years 2 and 3, the role will transition to full implementation, including instruction, student recruitment, enrollment management, and service coordination of the CSI IPSE program.

This is a full-time, 10-month, grant-funded position. Grant funding has been secured for three years. At the conclusion of the grant funded period, the position (and program) will be evaluated for long-term sustainability.

Program Leadership and Curriculum Design (60%)
  • Lead implementation of the CSI Inclusive Postsecondary Education (IPSE) program, ensuring alignment with institutional planning and strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate with CSI’s curriculum committee and Career and Technical Education (CTE) faculty to design and secure approval for IPSE-related courses and stackable milestone certificates.
  • Collaborate with statewide ECLIPSE leadership to align program implementation and improve services.
  • Deliver in-person instruction and support student success in inclusive campus and workplace settings.
  • Develop adapted program materials and data systems to track student progress and employment outcomes.
  • Lead recruitment efforts for the annual student cohort, prioritizing graduates from Magic Valley school districts and other eligible applicants.
  • Organize and lead high-impact recruitment and visibility events, including an annual Reverse Career Fair.
  • Maintain program documentation, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with grant requirements and institutional standards.
Student Mentorship and Supervision (20%)
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of three Peer Job Coaches (traditionally enrolled student employees) beginning in Year 2.
  • Develop and support training for Peer Job Coaches aligned with Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE) best practices, including ECLIPSE training modules and statewide professional development opportunities.
  • Facilitate mentorship opportunities through stipend-supported student mentors to promote social integration and campus navigation.
  • Coordinate wraparound supports in collaboration with Student Accessibility Services.
Employer Engagement and Interagency Collaboration (15%)
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with regional employers to facilitate work-based learning experiences and internship placements.
  • Serve as an active member of the Magic Valley Transition Team, collaborating with CSI Workforce, the Idaho Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (IDVR), and local school districts to align transition services.
  • Represent the program professionally on statewide ECLIPSE councils and regional workgroups.
  • Establish referral and funding coordination processes with the Idaho Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and the Idaho Department of Labor.
Professional Development and Sustainability (5%)
  • Participate in annual statewide or national professional development related to Inclusive Postsecondary Education and Competitive Integrated Employment outcomes.
  • Contribute to statewide ECLIPSE planning, resource development, and dissemination activities.
