Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Cloud Network Automation Engineer to join our team in the Baltimore metropolitan area. You will provision, manage, and support Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama, develop Ansible Playbooks, and deploy monitoring to detect anomalies across connected networks and cloud providers.

The role requires an active TS clearance with SCI eligibility, a relevant degree with extensive experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience; OR Master's with 6+ years; OR PhD with 3+ years.
• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Active CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Strong oral and written communications skills.
• Expertise with CaC tooling, Ansible preferred.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls in disconnected environments.
• Experience with regulated environments (DoD/War) network configurations.

Responsibilities

• Provision, manage, and support Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama across networks and clouds.
• Develop, utilize, and maintain Ansible Playbooks to secure, patch, and configure Palo Alto appliances.
• Manage connected services such as network adapters, storage, and firewalls.
• Deploy, configure, and support monitoring to detect anomalies or disruptions.
• Investigate service disruptions and provide root cause analysis and preventive steps.
