Job summary

Genus Technologies in Minneapolis is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead design and delivery of scalable, cloud-native solutions for a major financial services client. You will translate business needs into robust technical architectures and guide cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in software architecture, strong RESTful APIs and microservices experience, and a track record with Agile Release Trains.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software development and architecture.
• Cloud-native solutions on Pivotal Platform (Tanzu) or similar platforms.
• RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Agile methodologies and working within Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
• Ability to assess technical complexity and provide LOE estimates.
• Experience collaborating with UX, business analysts, and DevOps.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Willingness to travel (estimated 10%).

Responsibilities

• Design and architect end-to-end solutions that align with client goals and standards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate needs into scalable architectures.
• Define technical scope, estimate LOE, and guide solution planning early in the project lifecycle.
• Partner with development managers and Agile teams to maintain architectural integrity.
• Lead the design of microservices, APIs, and cloud-native components (Pivotal Tanzu).
• Provide architectural oversight across on-prem and cloud deployments and CI/CD practices.
• Act as a technical liaison between business units, dev teams, and client stakeholders.
• Champion innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
