Job summary

Popular is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead end-to-end architecture design across multiple lines of business within the Information Technology division. You will evaluate application architectures, guide modernization efforts, and collaborate with domain architects to shape technology direction in a fast-paced financial services environment.

The role requires strong communication, cloud-savvy capabilities, and hands-on experience with API gateways and middleware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field.
• 3 years of professional experience in application architecture, cloud-native technologies or related areas.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to work across cross‑functional teams.
• Experience in financial services/banking is a plus and agile/scrum experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end architecture design in collaboration with domain architects.
• Assess existing systems and recommend solutions aligned with Enterprise Architecture.
• Understand impacts of proposed solutions and provide direction, tradeoffs and recommendations.
• Continuously learn new technologies and identify value-adding solutions for the organization.
• Participate in the day-to-day execution of the Enterprise Architecture strategy.
• Aid in steering the technology direction and standards.
