Job summary

Karsun Solutions seeks a Chief Solution Architect to drive modernization of legacy systems into cloud-native, microservices-based solutions. You will create end-state architectures, align with FAA IT and business stakeholders, and lead multi-year roadmaps with a hands-on, governance-focused approach.

You will mentor teams, craft architecture decision records, and evangelize modern practices including AI-assisted development while ensuring security and compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 15+ years of software architecture and development experience with modernization initiatives.
• 7+ years designing microservices, REST APIs, event-driven systems at enterprise scale.
• 5+ years cloud architecture experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) including containers and serverless.

Responsibilities

• Define and articulate the technical vision and multi-year roadmaps for modernization.
• Lead design and implementation of cloud-native architectures with microservices and APIs.
• Design ML/data pipelines using Python with MLOps and AI tooling.
• Provide hands-on leadership by writing code and building proofs-of-concepts.
• Champion AI-assisted development tools to improve SDLC productivity.
• Present strategies and roadmaps to FAA IT leadership and stakeholders.
