Publix Super Markets is seeking an Intermediate Software Engineer to design and build cloud‑native systems and integrate AI capabilities to automate complex business processes. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft .NET, .NET Core and C#.
• 2+ years of experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Experience working in a cloud environment such as Azure or similar tools.
• Experience working with source control and CI/CD tools.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, scalable, and well‑documented code.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise‑grade technology solutions focusing on system performance, cross‑system interdependence, stability, scalability, and usability.
• Work in a cloud‑first environment using modern engineering practices, including CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Bring curiosity about AI: hands‑on familiarity with LLM APIs, prompting, and core AI/ML concepts (conceptual level).
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and stakeholders in design and development discussions—contributing in both Agile and traditional delivery models.
• Produce clear, thorough documentation (technical designs, system specs, and test expectations) so teams stay aligned and implementations go smoothly.
• Help keep production systems healthy by participating in an on‑call rotation and partnering with the team to troubleshoot, learn, and continuously improve.
