Job summary

TIAG in Bethesda, MD is seeking a SIEM Architect to lead a modernization and cloud-transition project for USU. The role guides two ISSEs, oversees 150+ assets transitioning from Splunk on-prem to a government-selected cloud-native SIEM, and ensures end-to-end implementation success.

The ideal candidate has deep DoD RMF/ DISA STIG knowledge, strong scripting and governance skills, and a current Secret clearance. This hybrid role offers strategic influence and hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10+ years in cybersecurity/IT with SIEM expertise.
• 5+ years as SIEM Architect or technical lead on large deployments.
• Deep knowledge of DoD/Federal compliance: RMF, DISA STIG, Zero Trust.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and transition of 150+ assets to a cloud-native SIEM.
• Provide architectural direction and hands-on guidance to two ISSEs.
• Develop and govern Logging Standards and SOPs for operations.
• Oversee telemetry pipelines, parsing, normalization and retention rules.
