Job summary

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Full Stack Python Engineer for an innovative organization modernizing its business-critical enterprise technology environment. This is a four-month contract-to-hire OR direct hire opportunity working onsite in Addison, Texas, with an immediate start anticipated.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, IT, or related field.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Python 3.x, REST APIs, microservices, and distributed design.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (AKS preferred), Azure Container Apps, Linux, Git, and CI/CD.
• Experience with Airflow or similar orchestration and cloud-based architectures.
• Familiarity with Azure services such as Service Bus, Storage Accounts, Key Vault, Monitor, and Insights.

Responsibilities

• Develop modular microservices and distributed processing systems with event-driven architecture.
• Engineer large-file and long-running processing workflows with reliable retries and idempotency.
• Containerize and deploy using Docker, AKS, and Azure Container Apps with scale and versioned deployments.
• Build observable workflows using Airflow or similar tools and Azure queue technologies.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with production-grade logging, monitoring, and diagnostics.
