Job summary

Frontline Education is seeking a Software Engineer to join Platform Engineering to design, build, and scale cloud native platform services powering our multi-tenant SaaS platform. You'll collaborate across engineering and product teams to deliver secure, reliable APIs and reusable components.

You'll work through the full software lifecycle, contribute to CI/CD practices, and leverage AI-assisted tooling to accelerate development while upholding security and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Approximately 2 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, C#, Python or similar.
• Experience building APIs, web apps, or cloud native services.
• Familiarity with OO design, algorithms, testing, debugging, and secure coding.
• Git and Agile software development practices.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Curiosity, ownership, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support cloud native applications, APIs, shared services, and reusable components.
• Build secure, reliable, and maintainable software aligned with engineering standards.
• Participate in technical discovery, design discussions, backlog refinement, and sprint delivery.
• Collaborate with Product Management, QA, UX, and engineering peers to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Develop automated tests, participate in code reviews, and contribute to CI/CD and engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues while improving reliability, observability, and scalability.
• Leverage AI assisted tools to accelerate development while maintaining quality and security.
• Strengthen technical skills while contributing to a collaborative engineering culture.
