Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Node.js Developer to design microservices and REST APIs in a cloud-native, AWS-based environment. You will work on high-volume distributed architectures within the financial services space, partnering with cross-functional teams and mentoring peers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 4+ years of professional development experience.
• Experience with Node.js and microservices architecture.
• Experience with REST APIs and front-end applications.
• Proficiency with AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
• Experience with Angular for frontend development and basic Java for DB connectivity.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills in agile environments.
• Leadership abilities with modernization strategy experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable microservices and REST APIs using Node.js in a serverless AWS environment
• Analyze legacy applications and define target state architecture for modernization initiatives
• Build front-end applications using Angular while integrating with cloud-native backend services
• Implement solutions using AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, EKS, Kinesis, and CloudWatch
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Database, CTO organization, and API Economy teams
• Take end-to-end ownership of products from ideation through post-production support
