Job summary

S R INTERNATIONAL INC is seeking a Software Tester for .NET and Cloud-Native applications to join our IT team in Columbus, OH. The role focuses on testing, quality assurance, and collaboration with developers, QA and business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate brings experience creating test plans, test cases and documentation, plus familiarity with Azure DevOps and SDLC processes. On-site position with opportunities to contribute to production-ready releases.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Software Tester specifically for .NET and Cloud-Native Applications.
• Experience independently developing testing strategy, test plans, test cases and proper system testing documentation for a new .NET application.

Responsibilities

• Designs and performs system analysis, tests and corrects programs; assists IT staff with documentation.
• Assists in supporting user acceptance testing.
• Performs software implementation tasks, including source control and deployment activities.
• Assists with development, implementation and monitoring IT quality assurance standards and testing.
• Assists in the development and documentation of standards and criteria for software development lifecycle activities.
• Develops testing and automation procedures and performs analysis and design.
• Reads, writes, extracts and reports from compounded files.
• Works with business personnel to identify and document system software requirements.
• Defines problems and develops potential solutions.
• Performs post-production support for business applications including maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Assists IT staff in evaluating software development methodologies and completing security scans.
• Assist IT staff in performance testing and benchmarking of software application response times.
• Communicates with peers and collaborates proactively.
• Guides software development tasks per verbal instructions.
• Answers questions on technical topics to assist other staff.
• Gathers and applies information from various sources to aid development.
• Leads discussions or meetings on technical topics in support of software development.
• Summarizes information in writing for related topics in software development.
