Job summary

Aurora in Mountain View, CA is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Mapping Infrastructure Team. You will design, build, and scale backend systems for storing and serving map data as we bring the Aurora Driver to more routes, focusing on reliability and performance.

You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver robust, production-ready code using C++ or Go, and cloud-native tech like AWS, GCP, and Kubernetes. Hybrid work is encouraged.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of server-side and data processing experience.
• Strong background in distributed systems and scalable backend design.
• Proficient in C++ or Go and writing robust, testable code.
• Experience with cloud-native tech including AWS, GCP, and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend infrastructure for map data.
• Establish testing and performance optimization to ensure Atlas system reliability.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers to influence designs and features.
