Job summary

Amazon in Austin, TX is seeking a Transportation Operations Manager to own the metrics lifecycle for transportation and warehousing across the network. You will drive day-to-day operations while implementing efficiency improvements to reduce costs and elevate service levels.

You will design the performance metrics framework, build unified scorecards, and lead reporting, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions across carrier, lane, and warehousing dimensions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, business management or other relevant field.
• 3+ years of program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or related field experience.
• 5+ years of program or project management experience, or Bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years of data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent experience.
• Experience communicating results to senior leadership and building financial and operational reports.

Responsibilities

• Design and own the performance metrics framework for transportation and warehousing operations, establishing targets and tolerance thresholds.
• Develop and publish recurring performance reports — daily, weekly, and monthly — tracking actuals vs targets.
• Lead day-to-day transportation and warehousing operations execution ensuring service continuity and SOP compliance.
• Identify inefficiencies and develop structured improvement initiatives with measurable outcomes.
• Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to align metrics and efficiency programs with network strategy.
