Connecticut OnLine Computer Center COCC is hiring a System & Cloud Engineer to support reliable, secure, and well-structured technology operations. This role spans compute, storage, cloud, and platform services with on-call rotations and disaster recovery involvement.

The successful candidate will participate in incident response, data center support, and documentation while growing through structured processes and training resources. Hybrid work with onsite Rocky Hill/Avon locations is offered.

Qualifications

• Our team seeks a System & Cloud Engineer with strong infra skills.
• Experience across compute, storage, cloud, and platform services.
• Hands-on with Windows/Linux admin tasks and virtualization.
• Familiarity with cloud design, DR, and security standards.
• Proactive documentation and runbook maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Execute operational tasks per runbooks and documented processes.
• Support infra changes under guidance from senior engineers.
• Monitor environments and respond to alerts for health checks.
• Handle ServiceNow tickets including incidents and requests.
• Maintain runbooks and system documentation.
• Assist with disaster recovery validation and testing.
• Contribute to automation efforts with scripting.
