Waters Corporation is seeking a Cloud Lead – Sr. Principal, Enterprise Cloud (AWS & Azure) to shape Waters' cloud strategy and engineering across the global One Cloud team.

You will lead onboarding, modernization, and governance for secure, compliant, and scalable cloud platforms, partnering with Architecture, Security, and Business teams.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of Cloud Engineering/Architecture or Enterprise Infra experience.
• 8+ years with AWS and/or Azure in large-scale environments.
• Experience with IaC, automation frameworks, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise cloud strategy across AWS and Azure with governance and best practices.
• Drive onboarding of new workloads via landing zones and platform capabilities.
• Oversee cloud modernization, governance, and cost-optimized platforms.
• Define architectures for networking, identity, security, resiliency, observability, and automation.
• Own IaC and automation strategies using Terraform and CI/CD tools.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and GxP requirements through secure-by-design architectures.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Security, Platform Eng, and Apps teams to deliver reliable cloud platforms.
• Provide mentorship and guidance across the Global One Cloud organization.

Waters is seeking a Cloud Lead – Sr. Principal, Enterprise Cloud (AWS & Azure) to join our Global One Cloud team. In this role, you will provide technical leadership for enterprise cloud engineering initiatives, including onboarding new workloads, application modernization, multi-cloud governance, landing zones, and secure cloud platform adoption.

A successful candidate will possess deep expertise in AWS and Azure, cloud-native architecture, Infrastructure as Code, and enterprise governance. As a senior technical leader, you will partner with Architecture, Security, Engineering, and Business teams to define standards, drive modernization, and enable secure, compliant, and highly available cloud platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Lead enterprise cloud engineering strategy across AWS and Azure, establishing standards, governance, and best practices.
• Drive onboarding and integration of new enterprise workloads through scalable landing zones and cloud platform capabilities.
• Lead application rationalization, cloud modernization, and cloud-native transformation initiatives.
• Define and implement cloud architectures for networking, identity, security, resiliency, observability, and automation.
• Own Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation strategies using Terraform and CI/CD platforms.
• Ensure cloud environments meet corporate, regulatory, and GxP compliance requirements through secure-by-design architectures.
• Partner with Architecture, Security, Platform Engineering, and Application teams to deliver reliable and cost-optimized cloud platforms.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance across the Global One Cloud organization.

Abilities that will help you be successful:

• 12+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Cloud Architecture, or Enterprise Infrastructure roles.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation frameworks, and CI/CD platforms.
• Deep understanding of cloud governance, landing zones, security, compliance, and GxP-regulated environments.
• Experience leading enterprise cloud transformation initiatives and influencing cross-functional teams.
• Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to simplify complex technical challenges.
• Experience leading efforts in agile/scrum environments with knowledge of project planning, staffing, and estimating in an agile software development process.
• Experience managing off-shore teams as well as SI partners
