Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a detail-oriented Lab Development Engineer to create hands-on training labs and automate publishing workflows for the Curriculum Development team.

You will define next-gen tech for publishing curriculum, improve student training, and design tools to publish changes rapidly across AWS services. Strong AWS knowledge and automation skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing IT or technical training materials and content.
• Experience in a training role, including technical training.
• Experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures on material handling equipment and automated systems.
• Experience repairing material handling equipment (MHE), automated conveyor systems, and related mechanical/controls equipment.
• Experience implementing and enforcing safety standards within warehouse and maintenance environments.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain automated lab publishing processes used by Curriculum Developers and cross-functional teams.
• Identify opportunities for automation of curriculum publication processes and lab environment monitoring using AWS tech and programming languages.
• Design and develop new labs based on requirements from Curriculum Developers and subject matter experts; partner to write lab content for consistency and quality.
• Assist in design, implementation, and review of code for hands-on lab offerings to ensure reliability, repeatability, and scalability.
• Coordinate and perform testing of new labs prior to release.
• Provide front-line support for training courses, ensuring rapid resolution of issues for customers and instructors.
• Collect data from instructors and students and respond proactively to lab issues and usability feedback.
• Design and implement systems for measuring and improving lab quality, such as health dashboards and automated testing frameworks.
