Job summary

Lynden Incorporated is seeking a Mid-Level Software Developer to join our SeaTac-based IT team. This role focuses on Java 17+ applications, microservices, APIs, and cloud deployments, with a hands-on approach to solving business problems in a collaborative environment.

The position offers a hybrid schedule after training—2 days onsite in SeaTac and 3 days remote—requiring work authorization in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4+ years of software development experience in a business environment.
• Hands‑on experience developing Java 17+ applications using Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Experience deploying cloud‑native applications in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, preferably Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and source control best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain Java‑based applications, integrations, APIs, and services throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Ensure delivery of high‑quality software through clean, maintainable code, unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to established development, security, and change management standards.
• Analyze project requirements, the existing environment, available technology, and develop recommendations for appropriate technology solutions.
• Work closely with customers, business analysts, and other developers to understand business requirements and deliver quality, cost‑effective technical solutions that align with business objectives, IT strategy, and architectural standards.
• Participate in application and data architecture discussions and make recommendations regarding new development, system enhancements, technology adoption, and buy‑versus‑build decisions.
• Provide training and post‑installation support for customers, coworkers, and other IT support personnel.
• Manage multiple assignments and projects simultaneously, establishing priorities and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production support incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
