Job summary

apexanalytix is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Intern in Greensboro, NC. You’ll work side-by-side with experienced engineers on real production systems, gaining hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Linux, and infrastructure automation.

You’ll learn to deploy and monitor containerized workloads, participate in incident response, and contribute to runbooks and internal wikis. This internship targets students or recent graduates in CS/IT with curiosity and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience with Linux environments and command-line administration.
• Familiarity with virtualization/container concepts (VMs, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Basic scripting in Bash or Python; project work counts.

Responsibilities

• Get hands-on with KVM/Kubevirt VM deployments alongside senior engineers.
• Configure and monitor Kubernetes clusters in real on-premises environments.
• Test Helm charts, ingress configurations, and security best practices.
• Develop Bash/Python automation and live dashboards.
• Shadow engineers in server maintenance and data center hardware tasks.
• Document runbooks and collaborate with DevOps teams.
