Job summary

APEX Analytix in Greensboro, NC, is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Intern to work alongside veteran engineers on enterprise cloud environments for Fortune 500 clients. You’ll gain hands-on experience with KVM/Kubevirt, Kubernetes, and automation in a fast-paced setting.

You’ll contribute to real projects, document runbooks and dashboards, and develop skills in Linux administration, security practices, and infrastructure as code.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Working knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, or RHEL).
• Familiarity with virtualization or containerization concepts such as VMs, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Some scripting experience in Bash or Python.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on with KVM/Kubevirt VM deployments alongside senior engineers.
• Configure Kubernetes clusters and health monitoring in real on-premises environments.
• Test and document Helm chart deployments and ingress configurations.
• Learn container security practices and performance optimization in a live setting.
• Take part in Linux server administration — patching, log analysis, and monitoring.
