Job summary

Abnormal AI in the United States is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and operate core compute and infrastructure services that power our product platform.

You will design secure, cost-efficient multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS and Azure), implement infrastructure as code, and collaborate with product and application teams. The role includes on-call rotation and a strong emphasis on reliability and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 1–2 years of experience engineering cloud infrastructure for microservice-based systems in production.
• 1+ years of Python experience.
• 6 months–1 year of experience with at least two of Terraform, AWS, Kubernetes.
• Experience with mature software development practices (source control, testing, deployment).
• On-call rotations experience and incident response.
• Experience using AI coding tools in daily engineering work.
• Strong communication in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, scale, monitor, and maintain secure, cost-efficient infrastructure in a multi-cloud environment (AWS and Azure).
• Develop, evolve, and operate infrastructure as code to support repeatable, auditable provisioning.
• Drive design collaboration through technical discussions and reviews.
• Be a core member of an agile team with ownership and teamwork.
• Collaborate with product and application teams to deliver well-designed, developer-friendly infra abstractions.
• Participate in an on-call rotation with a learning mindset to improve reliability.
• Reduce tech debt by addressing root causes, automation, and roadmap investments.
• Leverage AI to explore, design, and ship solutions and improve docs/runbooks for the team.
