Job summary

Abnormal AI is building an AI-native behavioral security platform and seeks a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and operate core compute infrastructure in a multi-cloud setting (AWS and Azure).

You will collaborate with product and application teams, drive automation, and participate in an on-call rotation to improve reliability. This role emphasizes ownership, fast delivery, and practical AI-enabled tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 1-2 years of experience engineering cloud infrastructure solutions for microservice-based systems in production.
• 1+ years of experience with Python.
• 6 months - 1 year of experience with at least 2 of: Terraform, AWS, Kubernetes.
• Experience with source control, testing, and deployment.
• Experience with on-call rotations and incident response.
• Experience using AI coding tools in daily engineering work.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, scale, monitor, and maintain secure, cost-efficient infrastructure in a multi-cloud environment (AWS and Azure).
• Develop and operate infrastructure as code to support repeatable, auditable provisioning.
• Collaborate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Be an active member of an agile team with ownership and teamwork.
• Work with product and engineering teams to deliver developer-friendly infrastructure abstractions.
• Participate in on-call rotations and drive reliability improvements.
• Reduce toil by automating repetitive work and addressing root causes.
• Leverage AI to design and ship solutions, improving team context and runbooks.
