Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Software Engineer 1 – Cloud Infrastructure to join our remote-first team in the United States. You will design, build, and operate secure cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure, and develop infrastructure-as-code to provision scalable systems.

You will work with product and application engineers, participate in on-call rotations, and apply AI-assisted tools to speed development while maintaining production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 1–2 years of experience engineering cloud infrastructure for microservice-based systems.
• At least 1 year of experience using Python for engineering or automation tasks.
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in Terraform, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with established software development practices, including source control, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Experience participating in on-call rotations, responding to incidents, and operating production-grade systems.
• Practical experience using AI coding tools in everyday engineering work.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, scale, monitor, and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions for provisioning.
• Participate in technical design discussions and code/architecture reviews.
• Collaborate with product and application engineering teams to deliver reliable infrastructure abstractions.
• Contribute to an agile team with ownership and accountability.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.
• Reduce technical debt by automating tasks and improving reliability.
• Use AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development while ensuring production readiness.
• Improve documentation, runbooks, and AI-related resources.
