Job summary

Think Tank, Inc. seeks an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to manage and optimize AWS infrastructure in a hybrid Washington DC setup.

The role focuses on ensuring availability, scalability and security while supporting operational continuity. The ideal candidate has hands-on AWS experience, deep networking and Linux knowledge (RedHat), and a Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, with a preference for AWS Solutions Architect certification.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of networking, Linux (RedHat), and security.

Responsibilities

• Manage AWS services including EC2, VPC, S3, and CloudWatch.
• Perform infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning.
• Coordinate OS patching and maintenance activities.
• Support disaster recovery (DR) and continuity of operations (COOP).
• Plan capacity and ensure high availability of systems.
• Implement security controls and infrastructure hardening.
• Coordinate downtime, upgrades, and environment management.

Position Description

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for managing and optimizing AWS infrastructure supporting FMS-NG. This role ensures system availability, scalability, and security while supporting operational continuity and performance optimization.
