Job summary

Cleared2Hire is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support government mission environments in Columbia, Maryland. This hands-on role focuses on designing, deploying, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure, with emphasis on Zero Trust and NIST-aligned security practices.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of relevant infrastructure, cloud, or systems engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and NIST security frameworks.
• Experience implementing and monitoring cloud security technologies.
• Hands-on experience configuring, deploying, and automating applications and database services in cloud environments.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.

In this hands-on role, you'll help design, deploy, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure while supporting Zero Trust architecture implementation and NIST-aligned security practices.

We're looking for an engineer who is comfortable working across AWS or Azure environments, troubleshooting complex infrastructure challenges, and supporting both development and production systems.
