Job summary

Dev Technology Group in Tysons Corner, VA is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect to support O&M and new development for a federal government client. The role requires in‑office presence at least 3 days per week.

The Architect will assess cloud resources, guide engineers on best practices, collaborate with IT operations to implement upgrades, provide on‑call support, and maintain logs, runbooks, and architecture diagrams. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years in Enterprise IT or 10+ years without a degree.
• Proficiency designing and implementing Cloud-based AWS solutions.
• Experience managing AWS resources in GovCloud FedRAMP environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to discuss technical issues with executive stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and solution-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing cloud resources and recommend improvements.
• Guide engineers on best practices to ensure scalable infrastructure.
• Collaborate with government IT operations to plan upgrades and integrations.
• Periodic on-call support, shared across engineering team members.
• Maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting.
• Maintain architecture diagrams and runbooks, and track metrics.
