We are currently seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our team to support our Government Partner.

Requirements

1. Primary Job Duties and Required Work Experience:
2. Design, implement, and manage secure and scalable cloud infrastructure solutions using platforms like AWS, Oracle Infrastructure Cloud, Azure, and Google Cloud solutions.
3. Ensure the availability, performance, and security of cloud-based systems and applications.
4. Implement and manage infrastructure-as-code solutions using tools like Puppet for automation and configuration management.
5. Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless application deployment and integration within the cloud environment.
6. Desired Skills:
7. AWS Expertise: Deep understanding of AWS environment networking, security, logging, administration, and provisioning.
8. Accreditation and Security: Familiarity with accreditation processes (e.g., A&A), security controls, system hardening, and compliance requirements.
9. Linux Experience: Familiarity with sponsor’s Linux environment.

Job Requirements

• Active TS/SCI + Full Scope Poly U.S. Government Security clearance required.
• Education and Experience: Minimum of 11 years' relevant work experience plus a bachelor’s degree, or 9 years’ relevant work experience and a master’s degree.
• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
• Strong interpersonal skills, especially in networking and professional relationship building.
• Ability to prioritize, demonstrate strong organizational skills, and meet or exceed deadlines.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Position requires frequent sitting, standing, and mobility within an office setting. Must be able to use hands to work at a workstation/computer, reach, type, manipulate objects, and lift/move up to 20 pounds. The work environment is a professional office setting with moderate stress and noise levels, often involving long periods of computer use and handling interruptions.

Schedule and Location

Core hours are Monday through Friday, 0930AM - 1430PM. Work hours may vary based on contract requirements. The position is onsite at a customer facility in Herndon, VA.
