Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a security engineer to scale incident response solutions in the cloud, collaborating with AWS service teams to design automated security operations at massive scale.

You will help customers respond to incidents and pioneer security solutions that enable secure cloud operation. You will perform incident response, become a trusted technical resource for customer stakeholders before, during, and after security events, and contribute to internal projects to

Qualifications

2+ years scripting, programming, and security code review (non-internship) in a common language.
Bachelor’s in STEM or 2+ years IT security experience.
Experience troubleshooting systems, analyzing logs, or automating tasks via CLI.
Experience on CSIRT/PSIRT teams.
Fluency with AI tools.

Responsibilities

Perform and oversee incident response operations.
Be a deep technical resource earning trust of customer stakeholders during security events.
Contribute to teams to build and deploy threat detection and incident response capabilities.
Design, build, deploy automated security operations on AWS.
Develop content such as automation tools, architectures, white papers.
Mentor consultants, partners, customers to raise the bar.
On-call required.
