Job summary

SpaceXAI seeks an Infrastructure Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure cloud and hybrid infrastructure, ensuring integrity of cloud-native apps. You will work with a security-focused, automation-first mindset across multi-cloud and on-prem environments.

Responsibilities include secure cloud architectures, IaC with embedded controls, CI/CD security, and incident response. Ideal candidates have strong Python, Terraform, Kubernetes skills and a proactive ownership mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in cloud security, infrastructure security, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles, compliance frameworks, and best practices.
• Proficiency in at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and associated security services.
• Proven experience securing hybrid AWS/on-premises (or multi-cloud) environments, including IAM and overall security posture.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies and their security implications.
• Knowledge of network security concepts and protocols.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and tool development.
• Proactive mindset with strong ownership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Located in the SF Bay Area or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure cloud architectures across multiple cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Build and secure mission-critical applications in hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
• Develop and maintain IaC templates with embedded security controls.
• Assist with security assessments and audits of cloud infrastructure and services.
• Implement and manage cloud security tools and services (e.g., CSPM, CWPP, CASB).
• Monitor and remediate infrastructure to comply with regulations and best practices (PCI, NIST CSF, GDPR, HIPAA).
