Job summary

Inetum in Lisbon is seeking a Cloud FinOps Engineer to implement and operate the FinOps model, ensuring data integration, quality and availability for cloud cost and usage. You will connect applications to cloud resources to improve cost traceability, enable cost allocation, monitoring and optimization, and automate FinOps processes with APIs and IaC.

The profile requires 5+ years in cloud engineering and hands-on experience with FinOps platforms, tagging, budgets, dashboards, and cross-cloud

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering or FinOps roles.
• Certified Cloud admin/architecture or equivalent.
• Experience with FinOps platforms: data ingestion, tagging, budgets, dashboards.
• Solid knowledge of public clouds and multicloud architectures.
• Ability to map applications to costs and interpret usage patterns.
• Experience with IaC, scripting, automation and API integration.

Responsibilities

• Configure and administer FinOps platforms.
• Integrate cloud accounts and data sources for quality.
• Map apps/workloads to resources for cost traceability.
• Implement tagging taxonomies and cost allocation rules.
• Configure budgets, alerts, views and technical dashboards.
• Monitor tagging compliance and identify unclassified resources.
• Support technical analysis of rightsizing, idle or unused resources, reserved capacity and consumption commitments.
• Correlate consumption changes and optimization recommendations with application architecture, usage, performance and criticality.
• Automate FinOps processes via APIs and IaC.
• Implement technical requirements defined by FinOps functional roles and work with FinOps, Cloud and Application teams to turn recommendations into measurable technical actions.
