Job summary

Delan Associates, Inc. invites a highly responsive Cloud FinOps Analyst in the Washington, DC area to drive financial accountability across a multi-cloud estate (AWS and Azure) with real-time, hands-on collaboration with engineering.

Responsibilities include tagging enforcement, cost optimization and right-sizing, anomaly investigation, and preparing show-back reports for finance and leadership, while contributing to governance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Deep technical acumen in AWS and Azure architectures.
• Experience with FinOps tooling and enterprise tagging strategies.
• Ability to translate cloud billing into actionable insights.
• Strong communication and urgency in business hours.
• FinOps or cloud certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Real-Time Operational Support: Act as the first line of defense for the cloud environment during business hours.
• Tagging Strategy & Enforcement: Design and enforce cloud tagging and naming conventions for full cost visibility.
• Cost Optimization & Right-Sizing: Monitor usage across AWS, Azure, and GCP to uncover opportunities and drive right-sizing.
• Anomaly Investigation: Investigate sudden cloud cost spikes with DevOps and engineering teams to root-cause issues.
• Financial Reporting & Show back: Produce clear, actionable insights for finance and leadership from cloud billing data.
• Governance & Compliance: Contribute to multi-cloud governance frameworks and ensure financial standards are followed.
