Job summary

Orion Innovation is seeking an Environment Management professional to coordinate DEV/SIT/CAT environments, drive automation, and manage patching, upgrades, and incidents across on-prem and cloud. You will maintain architecture diagrams and NCRB artifacts while partnering with security and infrastructure teams to improve reliability.

The role requires strong SQL, Linux/UNIX, Kafka/Confluent, and ServiceNow experience, with an emphasis on governance, incident bridges, and cross-team collaboration

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills and experience with Oracle/Cloudera/DataStax or similar platforms.
• Hands-on Linux/UNIX operations and shell scripting for troubleshooting and automation.
• Experience with Kafka/Confluent and data movement patterns (topics, consumers, validation).
• Experience supporting multi-environment operations (DEV/SIT/CAT/PROD) across on-prem and cloud.
• Proficiency with ServiceNow incidents/requests and vendor escalations.
• Monitoring/log analysis with Splunk Enterprise; familiarity with AppDynamics/Neustar and cloud monitoring is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Agile delivery and tools like VersionOne/ALM.
• Ability to produce/maintain architecture diagrams, network specs, and NCRB artifacts.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-team coordination to keep DEV/SIT/CAT environments available, stable, and release/test ready.
• Manage environment change activities (config, refreshes, access, deployments) following governance processes.
• Create and manage ServiceNow requests/incidents through closure; track vendor support cases and drive resolution.
• Coordinate patching, vulnerability remediation, and upgrades with security/infrastructure teams; track schedules and risks.
• Own incident management for high-severity outages, including triage, communications, restoration, post-incident actions.
• Maintain architecture diagrams, system/network specs, NCRB documentation, ensuring accuracy.
• Ensure effective monitoring/alerting (Splunk dashboards/alerts) and improve reliability.
• Identify and implement automation/AI-assisted improvements and cloud/supplier cost optimization.
