Job summary

Acclaim Technical Services, Inc. is hiring a Cloud Engineer with a TS/SCI clearance and polygraph to join our Intelligence Division in Northern Virginia.

The role focuses on designing, building, and implementing cloud-based applications and solutions in a production AWS environment. You will be a hands-on engineer with extensive experience in developing, deploying, and securing scalable AWS infrastructure, including VPCs, subnets, gateways, and related tooling, while collaborating with software

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience configuring cloud VPCs, subnets, route tables, and gateways in AWS.
• Strong PKI knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Networking expertise with proxy servers and related technologies.
• Experience deploying code in AWS using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Knowledge of software patterns enabling reuse (encapsulation, interfaces).
• Experience with version control and code reviews.
• Strong advocate for automation and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into detailed plans and implement cloud solutions with independence.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, secure AWS cloud infrastructure and tooling.
• Migrate applications to Cloud and DevOps with guidance for other teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to secure cloud environments in a repeatable manner.
• Troubleshoot PKI, networking, and proxy-related issues.
• Implement automation and day-two operations practices.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation.
• Work with engineers to sustain and advance organizational capabilities.
