Job summary

Pathward is seeking a seasoned Cloud Architect to assess and optimize our technology infrastructure, spanning Platform, Data & Analytics, Development, and End User Computing, with exploring moves to the cloud.

You will design cloud strategies for public cloud environments (Azure and AWS), manage migration and operation, monitor resource usage, security posture, and collaborate across Engineering and IT Security to enable scalable, secure cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s or equivalent.
• Understanding of software development, engineering, programming languages, and tools.
• Strong collaborative skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Excellent communication skills in verbal, written, and presentations.

• Designs, plans, manages, maintains, and supports cloud computing environment.
• Monitors cloud resource usage, performance, and security posture; evaluates cloud applications, hardware and software.
• Designs technical solutions on public cloud environments (Azure/AWS) and creates design specifications.
• Collaborates with Engineering to enable applications on Cloud Platform and with IT security on cloud privacy.

About the Role:

Assesses the technology infrastructure to include Platform, Data & Analytics, Development, End User Computing, and explore options for moving to the cloud. Oversees the process and procedures and strategies to migrate and maintain the company’s cloud computing environment.

What You Will Do:

• Creates a well-informed cloud strategy and manages the adaption process.
• Designs, plans, manages, maintains, and supports, and any other technological duties associated with the organization’s cloud computing environment.
• Monitors the consumption of cloud resources, requests fulfillment turnaround, application performance, and systems security posture and evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software as needed.
• Designs technical solutions on public cloud environments such as Azure or AWS, creating functional design specifications, reference architectures, and other technical specifications
• Works cross-functionally with multiple teams to analyze cloud service provider SLAs, KRI, and KPI metrics. Collaborates with Engineering teams to enable their applications to run on applicable Cloud Platform. Works closely with IT security to monitor the company's cloud privacy.

What You Will Need:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience. Master's degree preferred.
• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s or equivalent.
• The ability to address technical issues inside a complex stack involving visualization, containers, microservices, etc.
• An understanding of software development, engineering, programming languages, and tools.
• Strong collaborative skills and mindset, with ability to work cross-functionally.
• Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and presentation with the ability to convey information to IT and non-IT audiences.

Salary range: $104,000– $174,000

The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this role. Individual pay within the range will be determined by multiple factors which can include but are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary for your location during the hiring process. Ranges may be modified in the future.

This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based incentive opportunity.
