Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is hiring a Cloud Engineer I to support deployment, integration, operations, and maintenance of VMWare vSphere 8/vSAN, Microsoft Azure Cloud, and Office 365 environments. You will perform systems administration tasks, troubleshoot issues, and assist with Azure integration into customer environments.

The role requires US citizenship, an active DoD Interim Secret/Secret clearance, and relevant certifications, with at least 3+ years in systems engineering.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen per government contracting requirements.
• Active DoD Interim Secret or Secret clearance.
• DOD 8570 IAT II or higher certification (CySA+, SSCP, Security+ CE, CCNA Security or GSEC).
• VMware, Azure Fundamentals or higher certifications.
• 3+ years of systems engineering experience.
• Experience with Office 365, Azure AD, and vSphere environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist deployment, integration, operations and maintenance of VMWare vSphere 8, vSAN and Azure/Azure AD environments.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform end-to-end implementation of workloads.
• Provide Azure engineering support to operations and foundational teams.
• Manage Office 365 Tenant configuration and governance.
• Communicate technical status to non-technical audiences and escalate when needed.
