Job summary
AMERICAN SYSTEMS in Quantico, VA is hiring a Cloud Engineer I to support deployment, integration and operations of VMware vSphere 8, vSAN, Microsoft Azure Cloud, and Office 365. You will troubleshoot, perform root‑cause analysis, and assist with enterprise cloud governance, Identity, Exchange/Teams, Intune, and AD services, with strong customer interaction.
US citizenship and an active DoD Interim Secret or Secret clearance are required, along with IAT II+ certifications and Azure/VMware
Qualifications
- US citizenship is required.
- Active DoD Interim Secret or Secret clearance required.
- DOD 8570 IAT II+ certifications required (e.g., CySA+, SSCP, Security+ CE, CCNA Security or GSEC).
- VMware Certified Professional or equivalent Azure credential required.
- Experience with vSphere, MS Azure or Office 365 cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Assist with deployment, operations and maintenance of VMware vSphere 8, vSAN, Azure and Office 365.
- Provide Azure engineering support and perform root-cause analysis.
- Support Active Directory, Exchange Online, Teams, Intune and other O365 workloads.
- Communicate technical issues to non-technical audiences and provide status updates.
