Job summary

Vidoori Inc. is seeking a Cloud Engineer with a FinOps focus to join a collaborative team in a hybrid role. The engineer will drive cloud financial management, design cost-efficient infrastructure, and partner with engineering, finance, and operations to optimize spending.

You will implement automation, monitor budgets and forecasting, and contribute to chargeback processes while staying current on cloud pricing trends and FinOps practices.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) with hands-on cloud engineering responsibilities.
  • Solid understanding of FinOps methodology and cloud cost optimisation tools and strategies.
  • Ability to analyse, report, and forecast cloud spend using analytics platforms and native cloud billing tools.
  • Excellent scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
  • Strong communication skills with stakeholders across technical and financial areas.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical mindset with strong time management.
  • Enthusiasm for continuous improvement in cloud operations, spend management, or cloud strategy.

  • Implement automation for cost analysis, tagging, and resource governance to optimise spend and transparency.
  • Contribute to cloud cost allocation, chargeback, and showback processes with clear accountability.
  • Engage in requirements gathering, translating business and technical needs into actionable cloud financial solutions.
  • Promote cloud cost awareness and train teams on FinOps principles and economics.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on cloud pricing trends and cost optimisation methodologies.

Responsibilities – Cloud Cost Optimisation, FinOps Practices & Cloud Engineering
  • Collaborate across engineering, finance, and operations teams to drive cloud financial management and best-in-class FinOps adoption.
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure with a focus on cost efficiency, performance, and security.

Essential Skills – Cloud Engineering, FinOps & Financial Analysis

  • Enthusiasm for continuous improvement in cloud operations, spend management, and service delivery.
Desirable Experience – Cloud FinOps Certifications, DevOps & Cloud Security
  • Relevant certifications (FinOps Certified Practitioner, AWS/Azure/Google Cloud certifications, or similar) are advantageous.
  • Previous involvement in implementing and scaling FinOps practices in cloud-first or hybrid environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud security, compliance, and governance within a FinOps context.
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, CI/CD pipelines, and containerisation technologies.
  • Knowledge of financial planning processes, cost allocation models, and cloud performance management.
