Job summary

FHLB Des Moines is seeking a Cloud Engineer to support cloud-based systems within the Information Technology department. The role involves designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining cloud solutions, with a focus on security and reliability.

Responsibilities include administering Microsoft cloud services, backups, platform upgrades, and disaster recovery planning. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in cloud engineering and experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years in cloud engineering or related role.
• Experience with enterprise backup/restore, web servers, Microsoft 365/Exchange.
• Hands-on with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain Microsoft cloud services and cloud solutions.
• Ensure backups and recovery using cloud-based solutions.
• Plan project work for platform upgrades and modifications.
• Design integration of cloud apps with existing IT systems.
• Develop automation scripts for configuration management.
• Respond to incidents and support ongoing cloud projects.
