Job summary

Randstad Digital in McLean, VA seeks a senior cybersecurity professional to lead cryptography-enabled, cloud-native projects within a large enterprise. You will guide a team of developers working on crypto-heavy microservices and full-stack systems to satisfy regulatory requirements.

The role requires 4+ years in Cyber Security and 2+ years in cryptography, with hands-on experience in AWS/Azure/GCP and HSMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education required.
• 4+ years of Cyber Security experience.
• 2+ years of Cryptography experience.
• 2+ years of Cloud Native technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• 2+ years of Unix/Linux system administration.
• 2+ years with FutureX and Thales HSMs.
• 2+ years with Venafi and Digicert or other certificate lifecycle managers.
• 2+ years with HashiCorp Vault or similar secrets management.
• 1 year of Cortex XSOAR experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects as part of a development team with cryptography, distributed microservices, and full stack systems to meet regulatory needs.
• Mentor engineers, stay current with tech trends, and contribute to code reviews when needed.
• Collaborate with Cyber product managers and architecture to deliver cloud-based solutions with security features for millions of users.
• Assess security risks focusing on data confidentiality and integrity by identifying vulnerabilities and threat impacts.
• Develop cryptographic solutions including encryption, hashing, and digital signatures; manage keys securely and integrate into offerings.
• Advance governance for cryptography with clear policies, standards, and auditability across the enterprise.

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects as part of a team of developers with deep experience in cryptography, distributed microservices, and full stack systems to create solutions that help meet regulatory needs for the company
• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community, and from time to time, be asked to code or evaluate code
• Collaborate with Cyber product managers and architecture to deliver comprehensive cloud-based solutions that deliver security features to help millions of Americans protect their financial services.
• Assess security risks, especially for data confidentiality and integrity, by identifying vulnerabilities and understanding crypto cyber threat impacts
• Develop robust cryptographic solutions, designing, and implementing encryption, hashing, and digital signature algorithms to protect sensitive data. This involves selecting appropriate primitives, managing keys securely, and integrating solutions into enterprise offerings
• Mature and enhance governance framework for cryptography across the enterprise. This involves clear policies, standards, and guidelines for internal and external teams, ensuring consistency, compliance, and auditability

qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
• At least 4 years of experience in Cyber Security
• At least 2 years of Cryptography experience
• At least 2 years of experience in Cloud Native technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
• At least 2 years experience in Unix or Linux system administration
• At least 2 years of experience with FutureX and Thales HSMs
• At least 2 years of experience with Venafi and Digicert or other certificate lifecycle managers
• At least 2 years of experience with Hashicorp vault or other secrets management solutions
• At least 1 year of experience with Cortex Xsoar platform
