Job summary

Hidden Jobs is seeking an experienced AWS DevOps role to keep AWS infrastructure stable, secure and highly available for public-sector applications. The position blends cloud architecture, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps engineering in an Agile, multi-team delivery environment with a strong emphasis on automation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in application development, maintenance, or administration.
• 3-5 years maintaining AWS infrastructure.
• 5+ years with DevOps tooling.
• 5+ years supporting AWS-based applications.
• Strong scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with Git-based workflows and Agile delivery.
• Eligible for Public Trust clearance and U.S. residency in last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain AWS infrastructure (Organizations, accounts, VPCs, subnets, segmentation).
• Monitor, automate, secure EC2, containers, and AWS services for continuous operations.
• Author and run IaC with CloudFormation and Terraform across regions/accounts.
• Configure connectivity (Direct Connect, VPNs), KMS, and logging (CloudWatch/CloudTrail).
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines (CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Manage container deployments (Docker, Kubernetes, Fargate) and data stores (S3, RDS, PostgreSQL).
• Tune performance with observability tools (DataDog, Kibana, Elasticsearch).

Role overview

The position centers on keeping AWS infrastructure stable, secure, and highly available for applications that serve public-sector clients. It blends cloud architecture, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps engineering inside an Agile, multi-team delivery environment, with a strong emphasis on automation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain AWS infrastructure, including Organizations, account topology, VPCs, subnets, and segmentation strategies.
• Monitor, automate, and secure EC2 instances, container workloads, and other native AWS services to sustain continuous operations.
• Author and execute infrastructure-as-code using CloudFormation stacks and Terraform scripts, and manage resources across regions and accounts.
• Configure and operate connectivity (Direct Connect, Site-to-Site VPNs), KMS encryption, and logging through CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines with AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins, and manage containerized deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, and Fargate.
• Administer data and storage services such as Amazon S3, RDS, and PostgreSQL, while tuning performance with observability tooling like DataDog, Kibana, and Elasticsearch.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in application development, maintenance, or application administration.
• 3-5 years maintaining AWS infrastructure and 5+ years working with DevOps tooling.
• 5+ years supporting applications running on AWS, with strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with Git-based workflows, Agile delivery, and cross-team collaboration on large projects.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance, and U.S. residency for 3 of the past 5 years.
