Job summary

Accenture Federal Services in Utah is seeking Cloud Engineers to design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure for mission workloads at Hill Air Force Base. You’ll work in a small delivery team, applying IaC and CI/CD practices in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Ideal candidates have hands-on cloud engineering experience (Azure preferred), IaC (Terraform, ARM/CloudFormation, Ansible), and containerization knowledge (Docker, Kubernetes).

Qualifications

• Hands-on cloud engineering experience with major providers (Azure preferred).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, Ansible).
• Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Automation scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and incident response workflows.

Accenture Federal Services is seeking Cloud Engineers to join our team and support our client at Hill Air Force Base. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure for mission workloads in a fast-paced, agile environment, with room to grow into deeper platform and automation responsibilities over time. You will work within a small delivery team alongside Senior Cloud Engineers, Platform Engineers, and Security Engineers, executing infrastructure builds and operational tasks under an established architecture while building toward greater design ownership.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on cloud engineering experience across any major provider and is comfortable operating in a centralized vision, decentralized command culture that emphasizes solution ownership and a fail-fast, fail-forward mindset.

What you’ll do:

Cloud Infrastructure & Operations

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting mission-critical government workloads
• Implement Infrastructure as Code for consistent, repeatable deployments (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible)
• Configure and manage identity, access, networking, and security controls across cloud environments
• Support CI/CD pipeline operations and containerized workload deployment (Docker, Kubernetes)

Operations & Incident Response

• Monitor infrastructure health, troubleshoot incidents, and drive resolution across Tier 1, Tier 2, and select Tier 3 issues
• Respond to monitoring alerts and elevate complex problems with clear technical context
• Support patching cycles, baseline updates, and configuration management activities

Security & Compliance Support

• Implement and maintain security controls, STIG compliance checks, and vulnerability remediation activities
• Support security audits and coordinate remediation with Security Engineering and ISSO teams

Agile Delivery & Collaboration

• Operate within an Agile framework - participate in sprints, standups, and retrospectives
• Document infrastructure decisions, runbooks, and operational procedures
• Collaborate with senior engineers, security teams, and government personnel to support platform delivery

What you’ll need:

• Cloud engineering or infrastructure experience (Azure preferred)
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g.: Terraform, ARM templates, CloudFormation, or Ansible)
• Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration (e.g.: Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and operational tasks
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and/or incident response workflows

Bonus Points if you have:

• Multi-cloud experience (AWS and Azure)
• Experience with identity and access management, networking fundamentals, and/or cloud security controls
• Experience with cloud migration or modernization projects
• CompTIA Security+ (current) or equivalent security certification
• Azure or AWS certifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field
• Comfortable operating in a centralized vision, decentralized command culture
• Strong Agile framework familiarity — ability to work effectively in sprints, standups, and retrospectives
• Solution ownership mindset — takes responsibility for assigned infrastructure and proactively identifies issues
• Fail-fast, fail-forward mindset

Must have an active Secret clearance; Top Secret preferred
