Job summary

Integral Federal, Inc. seeks a Cloud Engineer to support ALTESS cloud services for the Army and DoD, reviewing SLAs, addendums, and cost estimates.

The role emphasizes migration of on-premises apps to the cloud, security certifications, and robust automation, scripting, and CI/CD practices. The candidate should bring experience with VPN/IPSEC, DoD STIGs, and multi-cloud concepts across public and private clouds, with a focus on secure, scalable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience in Computer Science or IT.
• CompTIA Security+.
• Security+ or equivalent IA cert and computing environment cert.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience effectively managing multiple large-scale projects.
• Experience automating routine administrative tasks desired.
• Strong experience with IPSEC/VPN, and other secure transport technologies as well as Border Gateway Protocol.
• Proven experience migrating on-premises applications to the cloud.
• Understanding of network, storage, server, and application technologies.
• Strong knowledge of automation concepts, tools, and scripting languages (Ansible, Terraform, Python, Powershell, Bash, Puppet, Chef, etc.).
• Working knowledge of code repositories tools such as Git.
• Working knowledge of DoD STIGs, and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM).
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline experience such as Jenkins, Travis CI, AWS Code Deploy.

Job description

The Cloud Engineer supports the U.S. Army Product Lead Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology Enterprise Systems and Services (PL ALTESS) commercial cloud services infrastructure. ALTESS is a managed service provider for Army and DoD IT systems and plans to offer managed cloud services in public clouds, MS Azure, AWS and Private Clouds.

• Reviews all Service Level Agreements (SLA), Addendums, and cost estimates prepared for customer projects.

Required

• Experience in Computer Science or IT.

• Security+ (Or equivalent IA cert) and computing environment certification (i.e. MCSD Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc.).
