Job summary

Diné Development Corporation (DDC) is seeking a senior Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and sustain enterprise cloud solutions across AWS and Azure, supporting DISA DES O&M programs. The role involves automation, security, and architectural input in a DoD context, with a strong emphasis on scalable, reliable cloud platforms.

You will lead initiatives in IaC, CI/CD, and cloud security, collaborating with cybersecurity and operations teams.

Qualifications

  • Secret clearance required with IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or DoD 8570 baseline).
  • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 10+ years.
  • Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise cloud solutions in AWS and/or Azure.
  • Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, ARM/Bicep, or CloudFormation.
  • Experience implementing automation using Ansible, PowerShell, Azure Functions, or similar.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps methodologies.
  • IAM/ICAM technologies including Azure AD, Okta, CyberArk, or similar.
  • Networking, virtualization, storage, and cloud security principles.
  • Familiarity with NIST, FedRAMP, and FISMA frameworks.
  • Experience supporting production enterprise environments in an O&M capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
  • Deploy and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
  • Support cloud modernization including migration of on-prem services to cloud.
  • Troubleshoot Tier 3 cloud infrastructure, networking, IAM, and app issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and architecture teams.
  • Contribute to cloud architecture design for scalable, resilient environments.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
  • Enforce cloud security and DoD/Federal cybersecurity compliance.
  • Monitor performance, availability, and cost optimization of clouds.
  • Develop and maintain technical docs and engineering standards.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers and operations staff.

Job description

NOVA-Dine is seeking a highly motivated Cloud Engineer to support the Defense Enclave Services (DES) Operations & Maintenance (O&M) program. This role is part of a large-scale digital modernization effort supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and Department of Defense (DoD) Fourth Estate customers. The selected candidate will design, implement, automate, and sustain enterprise cloud solutions across AWS and Azure environments in support of mission-critical infrastructure and applications. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, security, and operational support within complex enterprise environments. This is a Tier 3 engineering role requiring advanced troubleshooting, architectural input, and technical leadership across cloud operations initiatives. Tentative end date for the Position: November 30, 2026 with possible extension to May 2027

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud-based infrastructure solutions across AWS and Azure environments
  • Deploy and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using automation and orchestration tools
  • Support enterprise cloud modernization initiatives, including migration of on-premises services and workloads to cloud environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Tier 3 cloud infrastructure, networking, identity, and application issues
  • Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and architecture teams to ensure cloud solutions align with enterprise standards and mission requirements
  • Contribute to cloud architecture design efforts supporting scalable, resilient, and highly available environments
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows
  • Enforce cloud security best practices and compliance requirements, including alignment with DoD and Federal cybersecurity frameworks
  • Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, optimization, and cost efficiency improvements
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and engineering standards
  • Support continuous service improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and user experience across the DES environment
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and operations personnel as needed
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Secret clearance required for role. IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or appropriate DoDM 8570 Baseline Certification) is required Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 10+ years of experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise cloud solutions in AWS and/or Azure environments Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM/Bicep, or CloudFormation Experience implementing automation solutions using tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, Azure Functions, or similar technologies Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps methodologies Understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM/ICAM) technologies including Azure AD, Okta, CyberArk, or similar platforms Strong understanding of networking, virtualization, storage, and cloud security principles Familiarity with Federal Government cybersecurity and compliance frameworks including NIST, FedRAMP, and FISMA Experience supporting production enterprise environments in an operations and maintenance capacity Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in distributed technical teams

Desired Qualifications
  • Industry cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent
  • Experience supporting DISA or DoD enterprise environments
  • Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite, including Jira and Confluence
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise migrations or hybrid cloud environments
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes or OpenShift
Salary Range

$60,000 to $88,000 The compensation range listed for this position represents the good faith salary range Diné Development Corporation (DDC) and its subsidiaries reasonably expect to pay for the role, in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the position's responsibilities, the candidate's education, experience, skills, internal equity, market considerations, and any applicable collective bargaining agreements or legal requirements.
