This prospective position is contingent on contract award, funding and exercise of optional Cloud Support. You must be ready for onboarding when the associated task is exercised.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy, manage, optimize and operate systems and services across the cloud providers used for assigned testing and evaluations.
  • Build repeatable deployment templates and infrastructure as code; deploy and scale applications, virtual machines, networks and supporting services.
  • Configure cloud accounts, access controls and security policies; monitor health and performance and perform routine patches and updates.
  • Deploy, configure, secure and manage cloud-native container orchestration and services across authorized cloud environments.
  • Troubleshoot availability, configuration and performance issues and coordinate with cloud service providers and Government stakeholders.
  • Maintain cloud architecture diagrams, ports/protocols records, configurations and operating procedures.
  • Track license and warranty expiration information and contribute lab/cloud status and service-level reporting.
  • Support engineering tests, evaluations and pilot environments as assigned within the exercised task, using approved configuration and change procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field, plus at least three (3) years of general experience; OR, in lieu of the degree, at least six (6) years of total experience, comprising the three-year experience minimum plus three (3) additional years of directly related experience. Either pathway must also include at least two (2) years of relevant professional experience in DoD, commercial or comparable environments. The relevant experience may be included within the total experience.
  • Ability to design, deploy, maintain and secure cloud infrastructure independently or with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to administer virtual machines, cloud networks, accounts, access policies, scaling, maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to deploy and manage cloud-native containers using infrastructure as code.

  • Meet one of these certification requirements within the stated timeframe: a current CompTIA A+, EC-Council CND, CompTIA Network+ or CompTIA Security+ certification PLUS an industry cloud certification; OR a current CompTIA Cloud+, GIAC GICSP, GIAC GSEC or ISC2 SSCP certification.
  • Maintain current certifications. Under the Basic qualification pathway, complete at least 20 hours of continuous professional development annually, or the hours required to maintain your certification, whichever is greater. Under the Intermediate pathway (Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC or SSCP), complete the annual professional development required by the Government component and maintain your certification.
  • Meet the applicable certification requirements and obtain Government authorization before performing privileged activities.
