Cloud Engineer

Location: Brandon, FL 33510
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Contract Length: 12 Months
Rate: $80+ per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with strong Microsoft Azure infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) expertise. The ideal candidate will have broad Azure knowledge combined with strong hands‑on experience with Terraform, DevOps, automation, and cloud infrastructure management.

This role will support the design, implementation, automation, security, and ongoing management of Azure infrastructure and services.

Key Responsibilities

Azure Compute and Storage

• Design, deploy, and manage Azure compute and storage services.

• Support scalable and reliable Azure infrastructure environments.

Azure Networking

• Support Azure networking architecture and implementation.

• Work with Azure Virtual WAN, private endpoints, and hybrid connectivity.

• Troubleshoot and optimize cloud networking configurations.

Azure Governance and Security

• Implement and manage Azure Policies and governance standards.

• Configure and manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

• Utilize Azure Advisor and security scoring capabilities to identify improvement opportunities.

• Support cloud security initiatives using Microsoft Defender for Cloud.

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

• Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.

• Use Git for source control and collaborative development.

• Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using Azure CLI and PowerShell scripting.

• Support deployment automation and repeatable infrastructure provisioning.

Azure Operations & Management

• Monitor Azure environments using Azure Monitor.

• Support Azure backup and recovery solutions using Azure Backup.

• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and support ongoing cloud operations.

Identity & Access Management

• Support Azure and hybrid identity environments.

• Work with Privileged Identity Management (PIM).

• Configure and manage Conditional Access policies.

• Support Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and identity security initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.

• Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with Git, Azure CLI, and PowerShell.

• Knowledge of Azure compute and storage services.

• Experience with Azure networking, including private endpoints and hybrid connectivity.
